Hello,
We want to let you know that we’re making updates to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. These updates will go into effect immediately for new members and website visitors and on September 1, 2025 for existing members and website visitors.
Here’s a summary of the updates:
We updated our Terms of Service to, among other things, reflect our current offerings (including, without limitation, the Function membership), add details about our cancellation and refund policies and clarify your legal rights in the event of a dispute and how such disputes will be resolved in arbitration.
We updated our policies in an effort to, among other things, further increase readability and transparency.
We further clarified the personal information we collect, how we collect it, how we use it, and how we disclose it.
We are also updating our refund policy. Starting on September 1, 2025 for existing members and website visitors and immediately for new members and website visitors, Function’s previous refund policy will no longer be in effect.
After which, the only refunds available to both existing and new members are as follows: If you cancel your Function subscription within forty-eight hours of your initial purchase (when you first start a subscription), and you have not received any lab testing services, Function will provide you with a full refund of your subscription payment. If you cancel an “Add-On” lab test within forty-eight hours of purchasing the Add-On, and you have not received lab testing in connection with the Add-On, Function will refund you the amount you paid for the Add-On. Additionally, if a clinician declines to order a test that comes with your subscription or that you purchased as an Add-On, you must request a credit within seven days of when the clinician’s determination is communicated to you. If you do so, you will receive an account credit for the test, but you will not receive a refund. You can find our full refund policy in Section 13 of the updated Terms of Service.
While you do not need to take any action in response to these updates, we encourage you to review the updated Terms of Service which include our updated refund policy, Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy on our website. By continuing to use our services or otherwise continuing to use our website, you accept these updated terms and acknowledge receipt and understanding of the applicable privacy policies.
If you would like to cancel your membership, you can do so by visiting your account at my.functionhealth.com (see Section 13 of the Terms of Service) or emailing [email protected].
To great health,
